It’s fall.
I love fall. Always have and always will.
I love curling up with a pumpkin spice latte and watching the leaves tumble past my window.
For me, fall is all about warmth, comfort, and feeling like you’re living in a dream world where everything is just a little bit brighter than usual.
So it only made sense that I would create a photo shoot that felt just like that.
So I decided to create an image that was dramatic and perfect—one that would make you want to wrap yourself up in a blanket while drinking your favorite drink of choice while watching the leaves fall outside your window at night.
The weather in Austin during this time of year is perfect. The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and cool, and there’s a certain sense of calmness in the atmosphere that makes you feel like everything is just right. I wanted to capture this feeling in my shoot.
This photoshoot was so much fun! In fact, I think it’s safe to say that I accomplished all three goals: To keep the textures of the pumpkin spice cookies; to create an image that was dramatic yet cozy and warm; and to make it look like fall.
My inspiration for this shoot was my love of fall—and my desire to keep the textures of those delicious cookies. This is one of my favorite photos from the shoot. I love how the background of this set looks like a cozy bed, which creates the feeling of warmth and comfort.
