Lights, Camera, Carbone!
Oh my goodness, you guys, I am SO excited to share my latest photoshoot with you! This one was for Carbone Pasta Sauce, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! We’re talking pure magic, the kind of shoot that makes you wanna dance on set!
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been obsessed with those classic Italian restaurants in New York. You know, the ones with the red checkered tablecloths and that warm, cozy feeling? Think “A Bronx Tale” vibes! Even though I’m a mix of Mexican and Black, I always wished I was Italian too. So when I checked out Carbone’s website, it was like BAM! Instant time travel! All that romance and nostalgia… I just KNEW I had to capture that feeling with my camera.
Setting the Stage for Deliciousness
Carbone is all about those big, bold flavors, so I wanted this shoot to be vibrant, exciting, and full of life! We’re talking a whole lotta RED – red roses, red sauce (obviously!), red tablecloths, even a red curtain in the background!
And the sauce itself? Oh, it’s a masterpiece! So much texture, so many spices, it’s like a party in your mouth! Of course, I had to add a generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese – because who can resist that cheesy goodness?
I love creating food photos that look like paintings, and this one is no exception. It’s all about those dramatic shadows and rich colors, just like the old masters!
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Whenever a brand asks me to bring their vision to life, I always start by asking them about their ideal customer. Who are they trying to reach? What’s the story they want to tell? Because once you know the “who,” the rest just falls into place!
I’m a big believer in having fun while you work. When you’re happy and excited, your creativity soars! It’s like your brain throws a party, and the ideas just flow! And let’s be real: amazing things happen when people work together. It’s like that saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Well, it takes a team to create something awesome, and that’s how I roll on my photoshoots!
Even though I worked solo on this shoot, I still channeled that spirit of teamwork by immersing myself in Carbone’s world. I checked out their website, their social media, everything! It was like we were brainstorming together!
A Feast for the Eyes (and the Stomach!)
I am absolutely thrilled with how the final photo turned out! I can totally see Carbone using it in a magazine ad or on their website. It would even be perfect for Instagram! And you know what would take it to the next level? A video clip of a fork twirling that pasta in the sauce! Maybe that’s next on my list!
